The Debate on Celibacy and Marriage

Read my thoughts on why I think we should leave celibacy out of the picture in terms of being a priest.

Sanctuary

When you feel lonely and down, there is a place you would always want to run to. When you can’t take life’s ups and downs anymore, there is that one place that would always comfort your torment. Even when you’re feeling happy and ecstatic, your feet would always bring you to that place. There is no doubt, it’s your home away from home – it’s your sanctuary.
The CS Park is a sanctuary to many students studying in Adamson University. It is a constant hang-out or tambayan place during their free time. It is also a place to practice for plays and other academic-related activities after class. It is where some students eat their late lunch after their algebra professor dismisses them later than the time they should. It is where some students reunite with their peers after a tiring ay of learning and probably, cramming.
It is where friends laugh at each other’s jokes and company. It is where enemies realize the importance of friendship and learn to forgive and forget. It is where college friends discover love and fall in love. It is where a fresh high school graduate lets out all his frustrations on the new life college has presented to him. It is where a teenager cries for the first time because of unreciprocated love. It is where friends comfort each other after seeing a 5.00 mark on their report cards. It is where bonds become tighter and relationships become stronger.
This place is significant to every Adamsonian, and will remain important even after they leave the halls of the institution and go out to the real world. It will continue to inspire them; it will leave a mark on their hearts that college was a better ordeal to face because of this place.

The Latest Technological Gadget I Have Today

The latest technological gadget I have in my hands right now is the Wordtank by Canon. Simply put, it is an electronic dictionary.

As a Mass Communication student, this gadget is very advantageous to me. I use it whenever I am making written reports, essays and articles. It familiarizes me with alien words; it corrects my faulty grammar. It can also translate words from English to Japanese. When I am reading a book and there is a word I could not comprehend, I quickly grab the Wordtank and search for the meaning of the word. I use it wherever I am - whether at home or in school. It makes my writing and reading tasks easier and more efficient. I admit, life would be damn more difficult without this gadget.

The only disadvantage I can point out in my using the Wordtank is that I have grown dependent to it. Not entirely dependent, but I am finding it difficult to make my paperwork without it now. This, in my opinion, is one disadvantage every gadget has to its users. The contingency it imposes as an impact to the users is undeniable and unavoidable. The only solution now here is to prevent the addiction while the user can.

1-1-11

So before the first day of 2011 ends, here's to an awesome year ahead. I know there will be more laughs, smiles, jokes and friendships coming this year. There may be mistakes, problems and conflicts, but they will all be for the better. Thank You, Lord for another year of blessings. Family and friends, I'm looking forward to sharing my life again with all of you this year.
