Idiosyncrasy
I like eating Tuyo (dried fish) with my Champorado. I find myself smelling anything I come in contact with. I am annoyingly allergic to anything with Sesame – seeds, oil, you name it. I am finding Hello Kitty too girly for my liking. I like substituting condensed milk for peanut butter in my sandwich. I am always wishing on the first star I see every night. Idiosyncratic, yes I am.
I have plenty of weird habits. They are enough proof to arrive at the conclusion that I am indeed unique. But what makes me stand out in a crowd is not my odd behavior, but my rather distinctive personality.
I can make one’s head spin with a single statement I throw at a debate. I involve myself in charity work. I do not frown at the thought of leadership. I embrace every opportunity and the consequences that come with it. I do not scratch my head at the pile of school work waiting for me when I come home; I believe that these tasks are essential training for my future in the industry. I dislike Politics, yet I enjoy indulging myself in discussions about it. I value my education. When I do something, I do it with a heart. I do not judge people on a physical basis; I deem that beauty is directly proportional to wit and benevolence. Admittedly, I make noise in class but the noise I make is definitely educational. I do not believe in love at first sight; a second look always shows a different angle.
Different as I am, I am continued to be loved and cared for by the people around me. Because of this, I am not afraid to show my true colors. I do not blend in the crowd; I stand out.
